OnSeed: We've heard Taamara'a quite cute. Where do we go looking for her?
Taamara: I'm not sure of Taamara's cuteness...that's for people to judge. But you can listen to her live if you are hooked on to the club circuit. Tatva and Taamara just played Fuga and Dream in Cochin which was a blast! You can also go looking for her on Myspace (www.myspace.com/taamaraofficialindia)

OS: How would you describe your sound?
T: It's a dense mix of live electronics and experimental classical and western vocals, all rolled into a thumping progressive dance sound. Tatva rightly calls it "ethno-electro"

OS: Whats with the whole 'Indian sounds in Electronic Music' thing?
T: I think being in India and adopting the sounds that are deeply injected into our genes, plus the contemporary urban music that we are bred into is a great combo. It is quite unique and more than anything very satisfying to delve into two different worlds and weave them into one. Of course the response that comes along is another trip altogether.

OS: So the latest from the whole Chill Om Scene?
T: Chill Om is always bubbling with news! The label is putting out a full-length album by KeyFx, our artiste from Lebanon called "Symbiosis", a chill-out trip, the new website is coming up soon, another compilation album for Six Degrees Records, Tatva's hot remixes of some big names including State Of Bengal, Shulman etc. International label artistes Kliment (Bulgaria), Latrama (Spain) and Surbahar (Bulgaria) played India finally. They all toured and have been extremely well received.

OS: How was playing at Sunburn as an experience?
T: I was covering the 2007 Sunburn as a journalist and wondering what it would feel like to be on stage and performing..what a high it would be! And hell I played in 2008 :) It was an ecstatic experience, for a change I was on the other side, not being a nosy journalist. Tatva and I enjoyed every moment of playing and earned a lot of fans.

OS: Hows playing with Tatva Kundalini working out. You guys tour quite extensively and do some serious damage or so we hear??
T: Serious damage!!! hahahah...that's a pretty intense term Fahd :) Playing with Tatva is always surreal; it's always a new experience. Every gig comes with it's own set of highs and lows, especially in India you cannot predict the sound quality in clubs. But despite all obstacles that pop up every once in a while, it's just the thought of giving that energetic live performance with Tatva going mad on his electronics and bass and seeing the people (like you) go wild makes me think that I would never ever want to trade it for anything else ;)

OS: Most Fun gigs ever?
T: The first on the list has to be Shanti Moscow, where we got an unbelievable response from the audience. People actually knew our tracks and were requesting for "Kashi" :), the acoustics of the club were perfect, people were overwhelmed and we gave so many autographs that by the end of it we lost count. We also met some very beautiful artistes there. Post the show we had some real Russian alcohol and you should ask Tatva the rest of the story :)

Pune has always been my favourite performance city. It's a small city but the people are truly inspiring; our manager Prateek who also hails from the city has to be thanked for the undying spirit. I mean even on days when they have an exam in the morning, kids are smashed out dancing till 1 am. Bangalore, Pebbles I shall never forget 'cause I gave my first autograph. The first ever performance in Hyderabad after which I decided to quit my job! And of course the hardhitting psychedelic night that we did at Nine Bar once, something really got into us that night because I could feel vibrations all over my body and it was truly divine.

OS: Current & Future Projects? (Jack n Jill / Baithaks / Solo Album, etc?)
T: There's the Jack & Jill pre-release album tour in association with Submerge and PowerHorse that is going on. Tatva and I have really worked hard on this one and had too much fun in the process as well. We stretched the musical dimensions on this one. A couple of international shows lining up, some tracks that we are working on for international compilation albums, another compilation album for Six Degrees Records (US), working on Jack & Jill videos etc...

OS: So what clothes are you in right now?
T: Pretense!!
